Hi everybody

I'm wondering if there's a way to insert a file into the report and then export it??

Like Excel's functionality 'Insert > Object > Create a file'

Attached an image to clarify

BIRT supports Java object types but what would you want the export to do?

Well, i expecting an Excel file with some other files inserted in the file (into cells)

Understood. Currently the xls emitter does not support this.

This feature could be implemented with the emitter framework extension
and possibly a new report item extension.
