Hi

Is build.acceleo necessary?

Should it be put in GIT?

When my workspace changes because I open or close projects,
build.acceleo seems to change too. so I have a GIT commit outstanding
and difficulty in changing branches.

This seems to imply that it is auto-generated, shouldn't be in GIT and
perhaps doesn't need to exist at all.

This also seems to imply that I am not in control of my model search
path and so I can expect strange changes due to accidental existence of
project/plugin models.

Hi Ed,

The file build.acceleo is used for the PDE build of Acceleo generators. You can ignore it on your git repository since it can be influenced by the content of your workspace.

Hi Stephane

Thanks; but that gives me more questions...

So for my releng build plugin, I should just add build.acceleo to
..gitignore.

For my distributed codegen plugin, which provides compiled *.emtl files,
I currently hand copy these to a src2 folder so that the Java builder
just does a copy to bin on Hudson. Now that there is a good Acceleo 3.3
candidate available, I would like to eliminate this fragile copy and let
the Acceleo builder on Hudson populate the bin folder. Is this now going
to work? Will it need a build.acceleo from GIT or will it create one
automatically?

Regards

Ed
