Hi,

in Eclipse 3x there was an easy an powerful way to hide menu items by adding a visibleWhen checkEnabled = true- condition in the plugin.xml.

In e4 I can also add a visibleWhen - condition but only with a core expression which makes simulating the checkEnabled- behaviour rather compilcated.

Since there is already a @CanExecute-Annotation wouldn't it be easy to provide this together with the visibleWhen in the same manner as in E3?

Agreed - please file a bugzilla so that we can add this in 4.3.
