AGR - Problem getting started with AGR [message #109615] Mon, 20 August 2007 12:48 Go to next message

Hi all,

I'm new to TPTP's automated gui recorder and I've read most of the online
tutorial and completed the steps to creating a test suite. I have a very
basic question though. Is AGR just for automating actions within eclipse
or can it be used for automating actions in java applications that are
created by eclipse?

In the tutorial and a few other online resources I've found, the example
test cases involve recording actions within eclipse e.g. creating a new
Java project. What I need is to record actions in a java app that is
launched by eclipse. Is this possible, and if so is there a tutorial on
how to do this?

Thanks very much.

Hi Mike,
The AGR in TPTP currently only supports Eclipse applications but not
stand-alone Java applications. We will be supporting RCP applications in
the near future:

Please feel free to monitor/comment/contribute to this enhancement.
