Detailed Solution Description:
Logidex AnySource Asset Adapter for ClearCase/ClearQuest assembles
consolidated asset metadata across ClearCase and ClearQuest based on
ClearCase triggers (e.g. mark a stream/baseline as RELEASED). This allows
Logidex to create and maintain by-reference artifacts to specific elements
within the ClearCase baseline and associated ClearQuest changesets.
Logidex also converts intercomponent dependencies within a ClearCase
baseline to-asset-to-asset relationships within Logidex metadata. For
example, ClearCase may be configured to define src and out subdirectories
on a per component basis, where the out subdirectory is used to maintain
build output such as Javadoc and jar files.
Logidex ASAA for UCM transforms each ClearCase component into a Logidex
asset, and navigates ClearCase directory structures to automatically build
Logidex artifact references to relevant files (e.g., Javadoc and jar)
within ClearCase. In parallel, Logidex uses the UCM infrastructure to
build references to ClearQuest changesets; these change sets document why
the component was created or changed. Logidex also establishes
asset-to-asset versioning relationships (e.g., REL1 vs. REL2
streams\baselines for the same component) based on ClearCase foundation
baseline dependencies.
