I have multiple jobs that checkout from scm

I need all these job to be switched to checkout from branch or main using a parameter

is it possible and how

Yes this is simple.
If you have a parameter defined for the Job then you can reference that in the Repository URL:
e.g.
https ://myrepos.example.com/svn/BigProject/$useBranch


Where useBranch is defined as a job parameter (or is an environment variable)

i tried it but got the following error

Couldn't find view $view in project E1020-VF UK Shop

where $view is the parameter used

have you tried it yourself ?
