Hello All,

I would like to give a short document on enhancement in eclipse "update
site" feature. As you all know , at the moment eclipse update only
modified plugins, where I am thinking of updating any files, which kept in
the server.

Can you pls direct me , how to submit such idea documents?

Thank you

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Are you proposing to write an
article or do you have a requirement that you need met?

This sounds like a design doc for p2.

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Category:Equinox_p2

Equinox p2 Install Manager, the Eclipse 3.4 replacement for Update
Manager, allows you to install/update plugins, features, but also other
things like fragments, .dlls, .sos, .exes, etc.

I can't find the document in the wiki that explains this, but this was
certainly the case when Pascal presented at EclipseCON.

I'll copy their newsgroup for comment.

this is possible with p2, but you may not be able to do everything out of
the 1.0 box.
Please post more detailed requirement on the eclipse.technology.equinox
newsgroup and we will help.
