Hello;

I want to install the eclipseuml-installer. People say I need to use the dropin folder, but there's no such folder to be found.
The only folder I have is the plugin folder.
Have tried to put the jar file into here, but no result after closing eclipse en restart the program.
Does anyone know how I can start using UML diagrams, for my ideas are all gone!
I use version 3.3
many thanks for the help!

It depends on your version of Eclipse. The dropin folder showed up about
the time it became practice not to use plugin (or dropin) for installing
plugins. Maybe Galileo or Helios(?). (You're supposed to use Help ->
Install New Software, but not all plugins are set up to accommodate this.)

So, to answer your question, for Europa (3.3), you use the plugin
subdirectory.

It's not as simple as someone has explained to you. When installing
plugins or features, there is a complex dependency management analysis
that must succeed in order for the plugin(s) to be loaded successfully.
Trying to just drop an arbitrary plugin into an existing Eclipse isn't
likely to work, especially when you're running a very old version of
Eclipse like you are (3.3 is 4-5 years old).
First thing you should do is install the most recent version of Eclipse
(Indigo/3.7) from www.eclipse.org/downloads and then use Help > Install
New Software to get the UML tools you want.
