Why is GEF so imprecise when it's zoomed?

Try to run the LogicExample, zoom to let's say 270% and turn the grid on. When you try to resize a circuit you will see it's not aligned exactly with the grid but there is a little gap (1 - 3 pixels) between right edge of the circuit and the grid line you are snapping to.

Why is that?
