Hi,

I try to profile JUnit tests. Just after launching configuration I
get:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.eclipse.jdt.junit.launcher.JUnitLaunchConfigurationDeleg ate.collectExecutionArguments(JUnitLaunchConfigurationDelega te.java:316)
at org.eclipse.tptp.trace.ui.internal.launcher.core.LauncherUti lity$JUnitConfigurationExtended.collectExecutionArguments(La uncherUtility.java:1319)
at org.eclipse.tptp.trace.ui.internal.launcher.deleg.applicatio n.AbstractJUnitDelegate.preLaunch(AbstractJUnitDelegate.java :80)
at org.eclipse.tptp.trace.ui.internal.launcher.deleg.applicatio n.PIJUnitLauncherDelegate.preLaunch(PIJUnitLauncherDelegate. java:37)
at org.eclipse.tptp.trace.ui.internal.launcher.core.LauncherUti lity.delegateInit(LauncherUtility.java:1168)
at org.eclipse.tptp.trace.ui.provisional.launcher.PrimaryLaunch Delegate.run(PrimaryLaunchDelegate.java:188)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619)

What can be wrong?

I get same error using TPTP from here
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/?ver=4.4.0 or from Update
Manager for Europa

Regards,
Seweryn Niemiec

Hello,

Please see: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=174402

As noted in this bug report, profiling a JUnit class has a dependency on
JDT internal code that's no longer supported. We plan on taking out JUnit
profiling support in TPTP 4.4.

Hi Seweryn,
As an alternative, you can profile your JUnit test suite as a Java =
application if you use another JUnit runner (e.g. textual TestRunner).
