Customize display name of lifelines in Log Interactions View? [message #84906]

Hi,
In Log Interactions View, I would like to override the default display
name appearing in box at the top of each lifeline. By default it seems
to combine the log importer NAME with log file name (whose display name
one can change by right-clicking the log file). This results in lengthy
names which are truncated into fragments. I would like to replace these
with user-friendly names such as "Accounting DB" and "Accounting App".

While in Window->Preferences->Profiling->Appearance->UML 2 Seq. I can
change display characteristics such as width and color, I just can't
seem to find information or a way on replacing those display names in
the boxes.

Is this possible? have I overlooked something in the documentation?

I know that you can provide a custom name for the log file by right clicking
the log file and selecting properties. You can specify a custom name under
the "Display name". You can then hide the log file type by clicking the
"Hide Log Type" toolbar item under the Log Navigator view. The views that
are affected by hiding the log file type are the Log Navigator and the Log
View.

I've opened the following defect to also change the log interaction life
lines when the user clicks the "Hide Log Type" toolbar item.
