Hello everyone,

im asked to do kind of a gui builder and im now evaluating the accomplishment of
gef.

The application i want to write has to:

- be an eclipse plugin
- drag and drop of elements like textboxes, textlabels or radiobuttons
- in a grid
- editing properties

- the resulting figure needs to be exported as a config file in xml

Now i am wondering if the gef framework is the best approach for doing this.
After some research im concerned about the last point, the xml export of the created figuere and about the appeareance of the elements (textbox, etc).

I am now at the end of my research abilities and need some professional advice Wink
Go with the gef or not?
whats the best alternative? (i already recognized visual editor, does it fit better?)

Thanks by now, best regards
kenny

WindowBuildPro is build with GEF, and that works. (Also with XWT, which
is an xml format).

What's your alternative?
