I am trying to create a stereotype which is to be shown using an icon. The specific example is a router icon.

What I do:
Create a profile and add a stereotype with a metaclass.
-> This works, when applying the profile to a different project, I am able to chose my newly defined stereotype.

Selecting the steteotype, and show the properties:
UML-> icon and chosing a (non-jpeg) icon, and make it kind: shape.
Apperance -> "Stereotype display" and chose "shape"

This doesn't change anything in the diagram. When I chose a different diagram element and then returns the properties of the stereotype, the appearance->"stereotype display" has reverted to "text".

I use papyrus version 0.8.1.v201108251045 and eclipse indigo (Version: 3.7.0, Build id: I20110613-1736) on debian.

Any suggestions?

PS. This might be a bug, but being new to papyrus, I decided to ask here first.

I have tried to use the icon with stereotype, and that is done well (Eclipse indigo on windows 7)! I think you didn't define your profile after modification

I did tried this with icon and shape as well.
It worked with icon but did't with shape, being also curious if it's a bug.
