HI ALL,

AND (P.PROJECTNAME='&PN'
OR P.PROJECTID IN(SELECT EDFI.ITEMID FROM EFORMDYNAMICFIELDINSTANCE EDFI where EDFI.FIELD18='&PROGRAMNAME'));

THE ABOVE IS THE CONDITION I AM USING IN MY SQL.

HOW TO ADD THIS INPUT IN BIRT USING REPORT PARAMETERS.

1. THERE IS NO PROBLEM IN ADDING PROJECTNAME AS A INPUT.

2. THE PROBLEM IS NEXT INPUT. HERE EDFI.FILED18 IS THE INPUT AND FROM THE CODE IT WILL COLLECT EDFI.ITEMID AND STORE IN PROJECTID.

Please help me on this.

P.PROJECTID,P.STATUS

FROM EFORMDYNAMICFIELDINSTANCE EDFI,PROJECT P WHERE EDFI.ENTERPRISEID='90040'
and EDFI.ITEMTYPE LIKE '%PRGM%'
AND P.PROJECTID=EDFI.OWNERID
AND P.STATUS='Open'

If you replace the value with ? this will create a dataset parameter.
In the parameters tab on the dataset editor you can then link this to a
report parameter. Suppose I have a report parameter named ordernumber.
I can create a dataset with a query like:

select * from orders where ordernumber = ?

this will create a dataset parameter named something like param1. In
the dataset editor under parameters I can link param1 to the report
parameter ordernumber.
