I have used the exclusion filters to exclude directories from the source path but they still appear in the Package Explorer greyed out.

I do not want any directory that has been excluded, does anybody know how to achieve this as one of my projects has quite a few excluded directories?

Click the View Menu on the Package Explorer and select Filters and update as you wish..
