The Role:

As a core member of the Red Hat Eclipse development team, you will participate in the development of Eclipse and related plug-ins. You will play an active development role in the open source Eclipse community and will collaborate with developers within Red Hat, JBoss and around the world. Responsibilities will include all aspects of software development including design, coding, testing, documentation, bug triage, packaging for distribution and support.

Specific Duties:

• Be an active participant in the Eclipse, Fedora, and RHEL communities
• Work across communities of Eclipse dependencies and the many Eclipse project communities
• Work with the Eclipse community to help them move forward in dependency versions as those dependencies and especially Fedora move forward
• Fix bugs that especially affect RHEL/Fedora/Linux users
• Develop new IDE features and enhancing existing features
• Maintain the Eclipse SDK build infrastructure both upstream and in Fedora/RHEL
• Continue to nurture and grow the community of Eclipse packagers in Linux distributions
• Further simplify and standardize the process by which Eclipse technologies make their way into Linux distributions
• Work upstream to improve performance of Eclipse technology in Linux environment
