I am unable to host the meeting the week of October 12-14th at the IBM
location. I have been trying to line up space for this for the last couple
of weeks and the best I have been abel to do is: October 31st - Nov. 2nd.

Let me know...

Hey Pete,

One idea we had is that, since a lot of the players will be at the CDT
developers conferences Oct 25-27 here in Ottawa, whether there is an
opportunity to combine these meetings. I'm not sure if the topics line
up but we were planning on talking about Debug as well.

Just a thought,
Doug Schaefer

That would really help cut down on travel and expenses. Ideally, the DSDP
conference would happen just *prior* to the CDT one, since the first CDT
day is dedicated for debugger discussions. I was planning on attending
just for that day. If the DSDP conference immediately preceeded the CDT
one, I could knock both out in one trip and still avoid the 2/3rds of the
CDT conf I'm not interested in. Perhaps others are in the same boat...

Hi all,

It was my impression so far that the DSDP community wanted some
time between the DSDP meeting and the CDT meeting to fine-tune
and ponder on proposals for CDT.

Also, meeting before the Ottawa CDT meeting would only allow for
a single day (Monday Oct.24).

If this is what a majority wants we could check if we can arrange this.
Otherwise, I'm 90% confident (pending final approval) that Wind River
could host the DSDP meetings at the original date, Oct 12-14, in the
Downers Grove / Chicago location. This is the same location where
the first DD meeting was in May.

Comments?

We'd like to have final decision on the meeting location by Monday
Sept. 26 latest (this is the next TM phone conference).

Thanks,
Martin

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Doug S: thanks for offering to
include us in the CDT developers' conference. Perhaps we can consider
doing a combined meeting in the future, but I think we're going to need
more than one day for our Device Debug and Target Management meetings.
Also, as Martin indicates below, we wanted some time to work on
proposals for CDT after our DD and TM meetings.

Everyone: Wind River can host this meeting at either the Chicago site
or the Boston site. I work out of the Boston site, so that would be my
preference, but I'm ok with Chicago if that's more convenient for
everyone else.

Please RSVP this week.

Thanks,

Doug

Several people have already inquired about an agenda for the
DSDP DD + TM meeting in Chicago.

So far, we have no fixed agenda which means that proposals
of items to be discussed can be submitted.

For _Device Debugging_, the final agenda will be prepared by
DD lead Doug Gaff when he returns from vacation Oct.05.
You can expect that the agenda will quite exactly cover the
action items that were left open after the Toronto meeting,
so looking at the Toronto meeting notes (available from
http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp) will help getting an idea.

In addition to that, Eclipse Platform Debug Lead Darin Wright
has announced that he wants to present proposed solutions/progress
on the following features:
* flexible hierarchy in all debug views
* asynchronous APIs
* pluggable update policies
* flexible view wiring

For _Target Management_, the agenda will also be finalized next week.
The following is a first shot at an agenda:
* IBM RSE structure
- Extensions and adaptions for Embedded, based on Use Cases
* continue discussion to refine ‘connector proposal’
- Come up with agreed-on extension point schema
* start creating a DSDP-TM feature/delivery roadmap
* TM and CDT: How can CDT based products use TM?
- Work on a presentation for the CDT meeting

As mentioned, additional proposed items are welcome on the
developer mailing lists.

Thanks,
Martin Oberhuber - WindRiver, Austria

Several people have already inquired about an agenda for the

You can expect that the agenda will quite exactly cover the
action items that were left open after the Toronto meeting,
so looking at the Toronto meeting notes (available from
http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp) will help getting an idea.

In addition to that, Eclipse Platform Debug Lead Darin Wright
has announced that he wants to present proposed solutions/progress
on the following features:
* flexible hierarchy in all debug views
* asynchronous APIs
* pluggable update policies
* flexible view wiring

For _Target Management_, the agenda will also be finalized next week.
The following is a first shot at an agenda:
* IBM RSE structure
- Extensions and adaptions for Embedded, based on Use Cases
* continue discussion to refine ‘connector proposal’
- Come up with agreed-on extension point schema
* start creating a DSDP-TM feature/delivery roadmap
* TM and CDT: How can CDT based products use TM?
- Work on a presentation for the CDT meeting

As mentioned, additional proposed items are welcome on the
developer mailing lists.

Thanks,
Martin Oberhuber - WindRiver, Austria
