I've been digging through the GMT and M2M projects and documentation for hours, and I'm still a bit lost. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

A lot of the use-cases seem to be centered around editors and development applications. I want to transform models at runtime in standalone applications. In the past, I'd do this with XML and XSLT, but I'm looking for alternatives.

Ideally, I'd want to specify the transformation in a language like QVT or ATL, which would generate the minimal Java code necessary for the transformation, with allowances for a small runtime dependency. Ideally, the Java code would not make use of reflection, allowing for compilation by GWT.

Can anyone give me pointers?
