When I tried to customize the existing WPE palette, I found 3 seperate XML files inside metadata dir for jsf-html, named as -
1. jsf_html.xml
2. jsf_html_pi.xml
3. jsf_html_dti.xml

What is the importance of all these 3.

These are each standard metadata files for the JSF HTML tag library that contain metadata for different aspects of the system. The metadata framework will merge all the metadata sources into a single model so they could all have been placed in the same file. But it was convenient to keep these separate.

1. jsf_html.xml - general metadata
2. jsf_html_pi.xml - palette metadata
3. jsf_html_dti.xml - design-time rendering metadata
