Hi,

We need to manage Hindi characters in Birt reports.
We have also seen that the font "Arial Unicode MS" was the most complete font.
When we generate the PDF report, the Hindi characters are not displayed (Birt Linux). Using Birt Windows, it works.

Arial Unicode MS is installed on Linux because we can use it with fop.

Also note that the file fontconfig.xml contains the directory /usr/share/fonts/truetype (the font is installed inside).

Do you already have encountered such a problem?

I found the solution

I had to add in the fontConfigs.xml this line :

<path path="/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts"/>

The path "/usr/share/fonts/truetype" is in the default list but this
is apparently not enough.
