[ATL][UML] Problem with UML transformation [message #66137] Wed, 14 November 2007 17:25 Go to next message

We try to develop the following ATL transformation:

Source metamodel: UML2 from EMF Registry
(uri:http://www.eclipse.org/uml2/2.1.0/UML)

Target metamodel: a class diagram we built in Papyrus (we use version 1.8)

Source model: a statechart, also built in Papyrus

We have two problems:

1) we cannot use the .uml file from Papyrus as a target metamodel. We've
read through the related ATL use case UML2MOF:
http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/usecases/UML2MOF

and the Papyrus user guide:
http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/usecases/UML2MOF/userGuide.ph p.

In the Papyrus guide screenshots of Run Dialog is shown "Papyrus
Transformation" launch configuration. But in our installation it's absent,
so we cannot work through the guide!

(We upgraded from the Papyrus 1.8.1 archived update site and 1.7.x update
site -- but this did not help.)

2) In an ATL rule, how we should reference to elements within the source
UML2 metamodel, specifically, Statemachine, Region, State etc.? Should the
source metamodel name be "uml", as the name of the main package?

Anybody who can help, please answer ASAP!!!

Thanks in advance,

David
