Let me try to describe this without a picture... I have a chart that has 7 series. As such the legend takes up a significant amount of vertical space (it is placed top/right). I place the legend there because I also need the full width to make best use of the X axis of the chart.
This leaves a big chunk of unused space on top of the chart area to the left of the legend. I would really like to use this space to put descriptive text. Is there any way to do this? It just seems like a big waste of space and looks odd when the text is placed above or below the chart when all this space is available.

I did try to make the legend horizontal and place it at the bottom of the chart. The problem was that it truncates the legend item descriptions. I tried fiddling with the wrap option(s) but it didn't do any good. I would use this if I could get it working but it would still be my 2nd choice as I would much rather reclaim the other space.

Mike,

I assume you also played with the max percent and setting the font
smaller in the legend? In script you can move say a title out of place
to pretty much anywhere in the chart, but that may induce clipping errors.
