I am using DTP 1.8.1, with eclipse 3.6.1
I have set up a connection to an oracle database.
I navigate to the appropriate schema.
I can see my tables, sequences etc.
I can see my packages, but when trying to edit (header or body) i get the error 'failed to get source'.

Should i be able to edit the header / body in this way.

I can 'Generate DDL' .

This may be due to the lack of detailed support in Enablement for Oracle... The one that's there is pretty rudimentary.

Oracle has their own set of plug-ins here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/enterprise-pack-fo r-eclipse/index.html

And that may solve the problem.

Hi all,

In Eclipse Juno, I tried to open a oracle package in database development perspective, but got the message "Failed to get source". I updated to latest of oracle database tools.
If anybody knows the resolution, please do share.

Thanks
J
