Print a message on HTML report based on browser version [message #653388] Wed, 09 February 2011 15:46 Go to next message

OK ... I know this shouldn't be hard to do, but I'm suffering a mental
block!

I have some javascript to implement a collapsing table in an HTML report
that I can make work much more efficiently in IE 8 and FF 3. I'd like
to print a message for IE 6/7 users to encourage them to use IE8 or FF3.

This should be straightforward to do, but I'm struggling.

Suggestions?

Thanks

I think you should be able to add a text box to your report, set it to HTML, and then add code that is similar to this - http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_browser.asp
