Hi,

I am having an issue where i am unable to debug an application.

The application was not created by me and comes as a JAD file. The app is for a Blackberry device so i am using the Blackberry plug-in.

When adding the JAD file it shows as this

""Manifest-Version: 1.0
RIM-COD-Module-Name: Cleric1_test
RIM-COD-Module-Dependencies: net_rim_cldc
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 5817
MIDlet-1: ,,
RIM-COD-Creation-Time: 1297173626
MIDlet-Jar-URL: Cleric.jar
RIM-COD-URL: Cleric1_test.cod
RIM-COD-SHA1: fd 90 be 05 97 a5 c2 74 3f 0b b5 f5 3e 70 fe 68 45 5d 5f 00
RIM-COD-Size: 3352
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.1
MIDlet-Version: 0.0.1
MIDlet-Name: Cleric1 test
MIDlet-Vendor: Vendor
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0
RIM-MIDlet-Flags-1: 0""

I am trying to test the app to see if it has a memory leak so from what i read i need to set a break point in the code but the code is not showing.

Any help would be great.

BTW this is the first time i have ever used Eclipse.

Thanks in Advance!

You should ask your question in a Blackberry forum. This forum is for
questions related to Java Development tools (JDT).

This seems more of an issue with eclipse not regestring the JAD file correctly. This has nothing to do with the Blackberry plug-in as that works fine.

Is it possible to debug JAD files is my question and if so, how?

I assume 'JAD' is a Blackberry specific file format, and I have no clue
about a 'JAD' file.

Ok thanks.

I have now posted on a Blackberry forum so hopefully somebody will have a solution on here or the Blackberry forum soon.
