I follow the steps of the tutorial and I get different models, OK, then I synchronize the .gmfgen model. Apparently everything is ok (I don't get any message), then I go to the next step "Right click the .gmfgen model again and select Generate diagram code", but I can't see the "Generate diagram code" option in the menu. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any clue? Thanks in advance.
It seems that GMF has not been fully installed. Please click the "Install Modeling Components" button on the toolbar (or in the Help menu) and install it from the list that pops up. Please let me know if the problem persists.
Wow, this is so weird. I see exactly the same issue. You would think that when you download the Helios MODELING edition it already comes with all modeling components.

PS: By the way, the command can be found on the Help menu.
That's odd behaviour indeed. I've also downloaded a clean version of Eclipse Modeling Tools and was able to build a GMF editor all the way up to the point where a gmfgen file is generated. I noticed that it didn't have the "Generate diagram code" and then realized I was working in a "Sample reflective EMF editor".
This happens because GMF Tooling is not pre-installed in the bundled modelling distributions. If memory serves, it was left out in an effort to slim down the modelling distribution as it was getting too bulky.
