hi,
my problem is as follows :
i have created a report myreport.rptdesign using a table customer from the database db.
customer table has following columns :
customerid,name,city,phone,puchaseditem,price,vat
i have retrieved the three columns in my report i.e . name, city, phone
along with this report i also want to generate in my jsp file a list of other columns.
it will be like this :
if the customer name is A then it will show the columns according to the selected customer.
the columns should shown in labels.
that means i want to retrieve the columns on selection of a particular customer in labels
i am trying it since 1 week.
please help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks and regards
Nishi Kishore

Nishi,

I am not sure what you need. If the customer name starts with A you
want to show a set of columns? And if it does not you want it to show?

Can you post an example of what you want the output to look like?

hi,
sorry for the delay reply.

first of all find the attachment in this message.
this attachment contains a snapshot of a web page.
just ignore the menu bar here.
now have a look on the remaining part of the web page.
there are three parts in this web page.
left part,center part,right part.
now here is the information regarding all these parts
left part : labels with random numbers.these numbers in front of labels are not of any use.so ignore those numbers.
right part : same as left part but with different labels.
center part : a report which retreives some columns from the table.right now, this report contains only 4 rows.
now the problem is as follows :
in the report, if i click on a particular row then it should retrieve the columns related to that row.
for example : if i click on the name "abc" then it should retreive the columns related to the name "abc"
the columns name and the labels name are both same in the table and in this web page.
so the point is that i want to retrieve those columns in these labels.
that means remove those numbers in front of labels and retreive the values of column in front of those labels.
this is the whole problem i am facing in this project.if you have any doubt in this problem please dont hasitate and ask me freely at any time.

Thanks and regards

I got the email. I still am uncertain on what you need. If a user
clicks on abc, what do you want to display? Do you want it to display
in another report?
