How can a default window layout be set-up? If I I make a new window I'd like to get the same tabs as before or at least a very minimal set of them. In other words, can I prevent the Outline tab, the Make Target Tab, the Task List tab, the Remote Environments tab, the tasks Tab, and so forth from showing? I want to primarily see and edit my code, and that part of the window doesn't end up with much space by default.

You can create your own perspective with almost nothing in it.

But if you mean just in general usage:

1) open a starting perspective
2) customize it by closing views and changing the layout
3) Use Window>Save Perspective As to save it to a new name

Then just open new windows with your new perspective.
