I'm working on a file editing perspective and we use pydev for our python editing. We've been using file permissions so far to make the editors not allow editing of certain files but pydev has some bug in it where you can still delete text then get an error when you try to save. I posted a comment on that on the pydev sourceforge forum but was wondering if there way anyway to disable ALL editing across all editors without using file permissions.

Thanks!

Max
