Hi All,

We are trying to access birt reports "remotely" hosted in a separate application in the birt viewer app. We access the report something like :

http://localhost:8080/birtviewer/run?__report=http://localho st:8080/app1/test1.rptdesign

This works perfectly fine .. However, when security is enabled, the birt engine fails to find and load the report design from a "secure" remote server.

This fails when the birt viewer and the app that serves the report design are installed on the same application server. We are trying with a URL like below.

https://localhost:8443/birtviewer/run?__report=https://local host:8443/app1/test1.rptdesign

> Any ideas as to how can we get this to work ?
> What are the recommended practices for storing report designs for the birt viewer ?

Cheers, DKN
