The way of hiding / showing a simple part using the EPartService is rather easy, but:

Actually I am writing a rcp application with a set of changing view parts (by selecting an object in one part a set of view parts should be hidden/shown in a given sash container depending of the selected object type).

For me the easiest way would be to define different part stacks containing the relevant parts and display / hide them dynamically. I know that I could do this by using the MApplicationFactory, but I think there must be a more simple way.

A part stack is a container and not a part (as far as i have understood)

Regards,

Jörn
