I have a RCP product and I am badly stuck with a p2 update problem which happens only on *Mac*
The error message that appears during upgrade is :

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed:
Adobe Data Modeler for Flash Builder 4.5 4.5.286885.v20100923 (com.adobe.model.feature.fb.feature.group 4.5.286885.v20100923)
Software currently installed: Adobe RDS Core and Database Plugins 4.5.0.v20100913285560 (com.adobe.rds.feature.feature.group 4.5.0.v20100913285560)
Only one of the following can be installed at once:
RDS Client Core Plug-in 4.5.0.v20100913285560 (com.adobe.rds.core 4.5.0.v20100913285560)
RDS Client Core Plug-in 4.5.286885.v20100923 (com.adobe.rds.core 4.5.286885.v20100923)
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Adobe Data Modeler for Flash Builder 4.5 4.5.286885.v20100923 (com.adobe.model.feature.fb.feature.group 4.5.286885.v20100923)
To: com.adobe.rds.feature.feature.group [4.5.286885.v20100923]

where RDS Client Core Plug-in 4.5.0.v20100913 is the existing plugin in my RCP. The feature patch contains a new update to this plugin Adobe RDS Core and Database Plugins 4.5.286885.v20100923 which can not replace the existing one.

Many blogs suggested that running the RCP as root might solve the problem - however my attempt to run as 'root' went without any success.

Other blogs suggest that the product has to be upgraded rather than the feature. However, the same feature patch works fine on Windows, but fails on Mac.

Can anyone please suggest me any pointers on avoiding this error and updating my RCP as it is the blocker issue in our product ?
This problem happens in Cascade configuration as well.

Can any one having p2 knowledge please pitch in and suggest the work-around or solution for this ?
At least the pointers for handling this issue should be very helpful for me.
