Hello all,

I got a little problem in my RCP product : an "empty" menu entry appears in my menu bar. I tried to review all contributions with no success...

I would like to "spy" who is making this contribution, but unfortunately the plugin spy, very helpful for views, editors contribution cannot be triggered on the menu.

Is there any way to analyze or log how the menu bar is populated ? So I could be able to identify who is making this undesired contribution ?

Thank you,
Christophe

Plugin spy does works on the Menus: Alt-Shift-F2

Thanks, didn't know the ALT+SHIFT+F2...

But that still doesn't work :
* With ALT+SHIFT+F2 I am able to see popup menus contributions (and this is awesome!)
* But when I go in my menu bar, I come out of my app and it is not working

Note that I am under Mac OS X, this might work on windows / linux where the menu bar is embed with the application window. I try another platform and i let you know.

Have you got a workaround for MacOS X ?

Thanks,
Christophe

Better with windows : can spy menu items indeed.

But this still doesn't help as my "ghost" menu is empty (no item) and I would like to spy who contributed this menu "entry" (since I got no items to select)

I imagine the only option could be some debug logs ?

Thanks !
