Hello,

I am new to Eclipse (downloaded and installed late last week) and have been spending the last couple of days customizing my preferences so everything is just right for my work environment. I've noticed that the editor will highlight opening and closing HTML tags with a different background color, but I can't seen to find a preference for changing that color.

I am using a darker background for coding on, which means lighter-colored text. As is now, the background of the tag name seems to be changing to a light gray when the cursor is placed inside it.

For example:

If I put my cursor in the opening row tag (<tr>), both it and the ending tag (</tr>) are highlighted with a different background color.

Since I have decided to color tag names a very light shade of blue, this obviously makes the text much harder to read. I would rather change it to something like a dark red if possible. This is not the same as highlighting matching opening and closing brackets/braces/parenthesis in my PHP code. (I found that setting just fine... It would seem to me that there appears to be two settings for generally the same concept... Does that mean it might be a preference unique to the HTML settings, etc.?)

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

- Mike

You'll find it on the Annotations preference page, as "Matching Tags".
