Multiple diagrams - one semantic model? [message #619703]

I would like to create a series of diargams using a single model file. Yet
all of the examples I have looked seem to imply that there is always a
one-to-one correspondance between diagram and model. This does not seem
correct to me can any one guide me in the right direction for this?
