Hi all,
I am having continuing problems working out how to get our product
working with software updates.
I have a feature that includes our plugins, and a product that includes
our feature as well as others that are required (such as the platform,
gef, xsd, emf.common and emf.core).
The exported product does not seem to include my feature, either when I
use the product export wizard (with the Generate metadata repository
button checked) or if I use PDE build (with p2.gathering=true set). If
this is not done it does work.
When using the export product wizard, I notice that my plugins appear to
be in an artifact repository (the checkbox only mentions generating a
metadata repository). I have tried to use the p2 director application to
install the plugins to the directory, but while this reports success, it
doesn't seem to do anything.
What am I doing wrong?
I have asked a number of questions relating to this problem on a number
of Eclipse newsgroups in the last few days. I don't know if my questions
are just too stupid, but none of them have been answered. PLEASE PLEASE
can someone spare the time to point me in the right direction, because
am I have spent a lot of time on this, and am not really making any
progress.
