In may environment I want to build a Linux-C++ application on a host and remote debug it on an embedded target.

I use clipse helios. The cross toolchain is up and running. RSE is running to and I can connext to my target using dstore.

The manual debug process works: Each time I build an executable I copy it manually to the target. Than I manually start the gdbserver on the target. Now I can debug using a GDB (DSF) Remote System Process.

Is there a way to connect CDT and RSE to lauch and debug the application in a single step ?
Can I directly debug an application using an RSE connection ? (like it is e.g .possible with the eclipse based QNX Momentics IDE)

Hi,

as of Helios, the remote cdt launch is part of CDT now. You may want to
ask this question on the CDT newsgroup. Roughly speaking, I assume that
you just need to install the remote CDT launch from the CDT repository
and use it.

Cheers
Martin
