hello everyone,

i am at cycos.com doing my master thesis about model driven aproach for
voicexml development. Our aim is to realize MDA approach for voicexml
development. I will like to join you for meta-model, modeling and
code-generation steps of this appoach.

I have just finished teoretical background research about this topic and now
want to start implementation. it would be great for me if i can help. Here
is motivation about my thesis...

5. Conclusion

The purpose is to free an application designer from implementation details
as much as possible and to enable him to focus on design, test and
refinement activities. With the available Model Driven Approach tools this
can be realized. A programmer can design his idea with the items, modeling
elements of his domain. He can re-use the available library elements like
those mostly used grammars for numbers, dates, and alphanumeric values. He
can also reuse his previously designed models in a new design. Then the MDA
tool will do his best, and will change the model of the programmer to the
code for the machine. The programmer will modify the code at the points
where the tool can not translate his ideas well. This way programmer will
save time from implementing. The model will be understandable for more
people, since it is in domain terms. Refining the application won't be
difficult as before, only the model should be changed, not the whole code.

Hi Ilke,

I'm glad to hear your enthusiasm for the project. The mission of the project
is to focus on tooling the W3 standards currently, and as we expand coverage
to additional tooling we'd certainly consider getting into higher-level
design. Right now we must walk before we can run. Have you seen the Reusable
Dialog Components (RDCs) that IBM donated to the Apache Foundation? Take a
look at this site for more information:

http://jakarta.apache.org/taglibs/sandbox/doc/rdc-doc/

They might provide you with some structure for your project. You may also be
able to contribute to the RDC effort!
