Share project with submodules isn't working [message #576186]

I have two git repositories, one of them with submodules and the other one without. I can team -> share project -> git with both of them but after clicking the final "Finish" button the project with submodules remains the same while the project without submodules becomes a "git" project (the branch name appears right to the project and I can commit and perform git operations through eclipse.

I'm using latest available egit version installed through update site and eclipse 3.5.1
