using the ChangeLog plugin without CVS [message #570004]

Hi

I currently switched many of my programs from CVS to Git I see that the
ChangeLog entry in the edit menu is not available anymore... I'm not
talking about the automatic ChangeLog generation from the CVS repository
(I saw that integration with git is under development), but only the
possibility of creating a ChangeLog entry from the currently edited file
(independently from the repository). Is there a way to achieve this?

Very late in replying, but using recent Helios with CDT 7.0.1, egit/jgit 0.9.1 works fine. I imported a C++ project via egit and converted it to Autotools C++ project. I then opened a C file and did CTRL+ALT+C and it asked to create a ChangeLog in the project.

Can you elaborate on what versions of eclipse, changelog plugin, and egit/jgit you are using? The latest changelog plugin had a missing requirement for CDT 7.0.0 in the cparser. Perhaps you have a recent changelog plugin with Galileo installed??

I had already answered:

I found the plugin! It is in General Tools... I was expecting to find
it in the Linux Tools section...
