This was in my Inbox this morning:

Hi

I am sure your website holds a lot of very useful information for people
who
are familiar with your software, understand what it does and where to go on
your site to add to the information they already have.

However for someone totally new to eclipse, your products and their role
your
home page appears confusing and jargon ridden. You need to know a lot to
find
it helpful!!!!

I came to find out one simple thing - does the latest version of eclipse
support jdk 5. I left your site not knowing the answer and totally
confused
by all the clutter and jargon which assaulted me as I read your home page.
Your website undid the very positive feel I had of eclipse from a brief
look
at Eclipse 3 by Berthold Dau, which appears to be very well organized and
provide a very good introduction to eclipse. Perhaps you could refer to
it as
a guide for modelling your site.

Could you possibly get advice from someone who understands how to design
a web
site so it can give a clean slate approach to newcomers by giving them a
carefully thought out introduction to what you do, and the terminology you
use. There are people who know how to do that (take a look at
www.freebsd.org, or www.sun.com neither of which are by any means
perfect:-)
whilst maintaining the ability to satisfy the needs of old hands, to
give you
some advice on how to remove clutter and get rid of jargon from your home
page and provide a smooth lead in to your products and features.

Just my two pennorth

BTW can you please answer my question and, if it does not, please let me
know
when it will support jdk 5 (BTW my OS is Freebsd 5.3).

Thanks
