Timeline on Project Provisioning? [message #5041] Tue, 20 November 2007 17:14 Go to next message

First, congratulations to Gordon and Bruno for getting Alberio through the
creation phase. I know I appreciate their efforts and I'm sure the rest of
the interested parties here do as well.

So, now that we have a project, does anyone know the timeline on when we can
expect the project to be provisioned with a project page, CVS, Bugzilla etc?
Without a project page it's kind of tough to post / read a timeline. :-)
From the traffic on this group I'm sure there are others that are anxious to
be able to get started as well.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,

Thanks... it's great to officially get started.

The project was provisioned earlier today, so...

1) We have a CVS location on dev.eclipse.org in the directory
/cvsroot/technology/org.eclipse.albireo. There's nothing checked in yet.
It will take some time for Bruno and I to merge our code. In the
meantime it might make sense for us to check in our initial
contributions... once the Parallel IP process has been initiated.

2) We have a project website: http://www.eclipse.org/albireo/. No
content there yet either, but that will change soon.

3) There is now a project mailing list: albireo-dev@eclipse.org.
Subscribe to it through
https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/Albireo-dev. I'd like to move
the implementation discussions there, leaving the usage discussions in
this newsgroup, which will continue to exist.

4) Bugzilla components have been created:
Classification: Technology
Product: Albireo
Components: core, doc

To monitor bug reports you can watch these two email addresses from your
bugzilla email preferences:

albireo.core-inbox@eclipse.org
albireo.doc-inbox@eclipse.org

Gordon,

Well, given the timing my question now looks like some sort of a "setup" for
you to let everyone know. :-)
Of course it wasn't, and this is great news. Thanks for the links to all
the resources.

I would encourage you to do that as it should make the merging process a bit
easier once you have a consolidated place to work on it. Additionally,
although the rest of us can't really help with that directly we can begin to
become familiar with the codebase as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
Todd
