Hi all ,

How can i specify the destination directory where the plugin has to be installed when its installed using the install manager or P2 . What i want to know is ,Suppose i have installed my eclipse feature "com.sab.myFeature"and its related plugins using a dropins folder where i have put my features into the dropins folder as like this dropins>MyFeature->eclipse ->features->com.sab.myfeature
and plugins into dropins->MyFeature->eclipse ->plugins->com.sab.myplugins
So here when i update this feature of mine from my updates site , it shows higher version feature availbale to update and lets me update this feature , [But the thing is it places the updated feature directly into my eclipse->features directory and NOT in my dropins->MyFeature->eclipse-feature directory so can i specify during the updation of feature or by any other means that it has to actually copy the updated feature and its related plugins into my dropins folder and not directly under my eclipse , Is there any way to do this ....???
ANy help in this regard is highly appreciable .. Do please ask if anything is not clear or understandable to put my question in a better way ..
Desperately watiing for reply...
Thanks and Regards

AFAIK you cannot mix them. Either you are installing your features from
p2 repos/update sites, or you are using dropins (delete them and add the
new ones yourself). Dropins is just a manual hack, to allow the user to
unzip something and still have it show up in eclipse.
