Hello

I'm trying to install the plugin CDT Master 7.0.0 (June 23, 2010)
First, the installation tool apdate eclipse-site doesn't work for me and I don't know why!
So I tried this method :
1. download the zipped file from this URL http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/helios/

2. then from eclipse : menu help > install new software> add> the archive and I specified the path of my package
they proposed me to install "CDT Main Features" and "CDT Optional Features"
after that I got this error:
Quote:

The operation cannot be completed. See the details

here the details I got :

Quote:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: C/C++ Remote Launch 6.0.0.201006141710 (org.eclipse.cdt.launch.remote.feature.group 6.0.0.201006141710)
Missing requirement: C/C++ Remote Launch 6.0.0.201006141710 (org.eclipse.cdt.launch.remote.feature.group 6.0.0.201006141710) requires 'org.eclipse.rse.files.ui [3.0.0,4.0.0)' but it could not be found

I don't understand these errors. is there a problem with other plugins that are already installed ( an incompatibility )

thank you for your help

Actually following your link: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/helios/

It suggests to click on:

Help > install New Software >

Then click on :
Available Software Sites

which will pop-up a new window, then type:

http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/helios

in the white space where is says "type filter text" and Enter .

You'll see one result (hopefully) then just check it (mark it) and click enter.

and that's it. Now I have C/C++ programs in my Helios Eclipse Smile

Good Luck,

Maha
