Hi,
I really do like EEF, and I managed to create some pretty impressive
views using the Worldcup example. (I love those composed EEFMD views!).
Now, there is one bit, I like a bit less and this is the fact that the
components model uses generated reference ID's for Views which don't
seem to be validated. (This is my assumption, please correct if wrong).
An example here:
<elements xsi:type="eef-views:ElementEditor"
xmi:id="_-a1o6Z_BEd-qUuJJmc9RHw" name="values">
<representation
href=" platform:/plugin/org.eclipse.emf.eef.views/std/EMFProperties .toolkits#//@widgets.3 "/>
</elements>
Now if you accidently create a new view. (Which happens to me some times
when I drag and drop in the .components EMF editor), the reference to
the view in the "Properties Edition Element" is not updated. This will
not be detected by the validation.
So, when a model is corrupt and not detected by validation, one is
basically scr@wed.
Is there a way to improve the model validation, so it detects other
problems which won't get through code generation?
Cheers Christophe
