I've installed Eclipse Helios 3.6 on Ubuntu 10.04. The foll plugins exist in the dropins directory.

anyedit-2.3.1/
emf-2.6/
gef-3.6/
subclipse-1.6.12/
wtp-3.2/
dltk-2.0/
findbugs-1.3.9/
pdt-2.2.0/
tomcat-3.2.1/
xsd-2.6/

Under the Plugins section in "Eclipse Installation Details" I can see PDT. But I cannot see any PHP options under Preferences. Also, although a project has been marked as PHPNature it does not open the PHP perspective.

What could be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

Have a similar problem.

I installed aptana as a plugin into helios, and though it's in the list of installed plugins, I can't find any hint within the gui. Can't see neither a aptana perspective, nor can I use the built in ftp-tool.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled without solving the problem. I downloaded it from within eclipse itself, and even downloaded it and installed it manually. Nothing helps.

Btw, I'm using Windows XP.
