Hi,

we implemented an EditPolicy (XYLayoutWithFreehandEditPolicy extending
XYLayoutEditPolicy), Tool (PointlistCreationTool extends CreationTool)
and Request (CreatePointlistRequest extends CreateRequest) to facilitate
freehand drawing in GEF.

The edit policy uses the feedback layer, the tool and request provide a
PointList, the request uses a new type constant REQ_CREATE_POINTLIST.

Finally the code is rather simple but I want to asked whether there is
interest to distribute these classes to GEF and what would be the way to go.

Especially for the Eclipse Sketch Project one might see that there is
need for freehand drawing but the infrastructure should be placed in GEF
and not there.

The code is not yet final (you might request features, too) and not yet
incorporated in the application but I wanted to ask now.

It is open source (Apache License) and we might distribute the
respective classes under EPL if there is interest to add it to GEF.

Best regards
Michael
