Hi,

we are trying to create xwt files where properties are bound to an EMF model using a custom path grammar. For that, we attached an IDataProviderFactory implementation to XWT. But we soon found out that AbstractDataProvider in xwt 0.9 only provides support for observable values, while we would also need observable lists and sets/map.

Newer versions of xwt already have this, but we are bound on using Eclipse 3.5.2 and we could not assemble an xwt installation that is compatible with that.

Can anyone help, please?

From the point of the soruce codes, XWT should support 3.5.2. But we have
noticed some limitations with JFace data binding. Some properties are not
supported such as enabled of menu item.

Hi,

thank you for the answer.
I realize now that my description of the problem was incomplete: we want to provide xwt-editing to the customer, which means we have to incorporate the designer/editor. Unfortunately, the xwt designer in 1.0M6 requires several Eclipse 3.6.0 plugins, (e.g. org.eclipse.pde.ui;bundle-version="3.6.0", org.eclipse.jdt;bundle-version="3.6.0", a.o.); also, indirectly, via required wst plugins, it points to swt and jface from 3.6.0.
Therefore we tried to use the only available alternative to version 1.0M6, which is version 0.9. And here is where we discovered we do not have support for observable lists, master-detail, and other nice features of newer xwt versions.
I mention that we do not make use of the css support in xwt.

Perhaps there is an intermediate version that would fit our needs? If so, could you, please, provide a download link?Or what else would you recommed we do?

Thanks a lot for your time.
