When auto-building a plugin for the first time (I have been editing the sources and the plugin.xml, just went into Eclipse for the first time since I finished editing) I get an when auto-building:

Problems occurred when invoking code from plugin: "org.eclipse.core.resources"

The trace back from the exception is:

That does not mean much to me, being pretty new to Eclipse. Any ideas are much appreciated.

It appears that I screwed up the plugin.xml file. Some of the entries had XML tags in the format:

<foo
.....
.....
...../>

Others had tags in the second format:

<foo>
.....
.....
.....
</foo>

Some of the tags in the first format showed up in the second format in the online Eclipse documentation, so I thought that the second format was always acceptable as an alternative. It appears that I found a counterexample, which had to be in the first format:

<content-type
.....
...../>

This did not work when I had "cleaned it up" to put it in the second format. XML is not my forte; I think I will stop cleaning up things I don't understand!
