when I use the recursive call in a helper that returns a set, I receive a runtime error?

Farah,

When reporting a problem with an exception, it's best to include the
stack trace for it. Also, try to include a meaningful subject line,
e.g., [ATL] Recursive helper call produces runtime exception.
